Just wanted to write home real quick and tell everyone how things are going.
I've actually been on a studio break for awhile now. There is another musician recording a different record in there right now, and hes being a studio hog. *cough* PARKER *cough* It's a-okay though. 2013 is going to be a hell of a year for local music. Already is.
The break accidentally fell at the perfect time for me and my family. We had been talking about moving for awhile. On a whim we put our house on the interwebs, just to test the waters, and thank the lord, we found a buyer right out of the gate. It is all happening super fast though. Anyhow, I'm saying all of this to let y'all know why I've been a little silent.
We will be going back into the studio in February, and I cannot wait! We left off with Ryan Engleman coming in to do electric guitars and pedal steel. I've posted a few videos over on the Facebook. That guys is a maniac. It's incredible the way one instrument and guy who really knows how to play it can completely transform a song into something you never realized it could be. Y'all aren't gonna' believe this junk.
On my break I've been working on my show schedule a lot. Ill be posting all the new dates on this here website in just a little bit. There are more in the works, including some little out of state runs. All post those as they get hammered out. I'm also doing a lot more graphic design lately. What a trip. I love doing that stuff. You'll be seeing all of that stuff real soon too..
In my FREE FREE time I've been finishing some of the wines I've been working on. I make wine as a hobby. I finished and bottled a "Poor Kate Pomegranate" wine the other day that I've had going for months now. I also started a peach wine fermenting.. -All of my wines are local fruit or is inspired by an actual person that means something to me, if the fruit is out of season. The peach wine is actually inspired by a gal that's become a really good friend of mine. She was one of the biggest supports and word spreaders of the Kickstarter campaign. Pretty great gal. Haven't named the wine yet. It'll probably have something to do with Harry Potter, or.. Being a nerd in general. Just kidding!
That's about where I am right now. Stay tuned into the Facebook guys. That's where I post a lot of photos and videos..
