WHAT is going on with this weather. I do not appreciate it one bit. Man, I got stuff to do!
I've been a little silent lately. In one of my previous blogs, I mentioned that we accidentally and unexpectedly sold our house. Well, it was actually on purpose, but we just didn't think it would happen so fast. (Not complaining, we'll take it! When does that ever happen..) So for the last month, we've been busting our tails packing, fixing inspection junk, and renovating the house that we will be moving into, all at the same time. My husbands childhood home. Pretty cool. I bring this up again because dude, it is ALOT of work. We are in the home stretch. We have to be OUT of our house on THURSDAY. I am soo not ready.
There is a point to all of this..
The new record! The new record has been on hold, first due to Parker Millsap booked up the studio for two weeks (I CANNOT wait to hear it), then Wes Sharon(my producer) and another 115 Recordings alum John Fullbright, had to go to this little thing called The Grammys(super proud! ..and jealous..) And THEN we've had weather issues, scheduling issues, and now house issues. I am happy to report that we will be going back into the studio mid-March, after my house thing settles down, and I am soo excited. I miss being in the studio, I miss the grind. I miss the record. I hope I recognize its face when we go back..
That is were we are at. I haven't been socially medially active lately because we basically work sun up to sundown and beyond on these houses, and then sleep where we fall. I am black and blue, and am starting to feel old. But it really is fun. The new house is a home. Our daughter gets her own room, we get the studio back(!!!!), and I get a plant room off the kitchen, WHAT WHAT!! Matt and I have always been pretty DIY and like to work hard, which is what we did on the house we are selling. Ill be sad to see the little place go.. I'll also miss the cleanliness. We are moving into a construction zone.. Visqueen walls, circular saws in the bedrooms, a dump in the front yard, bathrooms ripped down to joists, the whole nine. I guess it'll be like camping. Camping at Home Depot.
We are in the final push. I will most likely see you guys on the other side. Ill post pics soon.
Lastly, weather permitting.. Ill be playing in Stillwater on Wednesday night at Eskimo Joes! Been awhile. Been a long while..
Take care, stay warm! And someone with 4 wheel drive bring me a gallon of whole milk! Someone forgot to go to the store...
